Visitors to the heart of Athens can now experience what it feels like to fly an F-16 or F-35 fighter jet, thanks to interactive flight simulators installed by the Greek Air Force inside the Syntagma Square metro station, one of the busiest transit hubs in the Greek capital.
The free exhibition opened on Friday, October 30, 2026, ahead of celebrations honoring Archangel Michael, the patron saint of the Greek Air Force. Drawing crowds to the underground station, the event gives civilians a rare opportunity to step into simulated fighter jet cockpits and experience virtual flights over the Aegean Sea.
The exhibition will remain open to the public throughout the weekend, offering visitors a glimpse into the world of military aviation without ever leaving central Athens.
