After a day filming on a beach, Lily Collins and the cast of Netflix’s hit series Emily in Paris have moved to Mykonos town to shoot scenes for the highly anticipated Season 6.
Behind-the-scenes footage captured by Mykonoslive.tv reveals a major plot point being filmed at a local island greengrocer. In the scene, Emily (played by Lily Collins) runs into her long-time, on-again-off-again love interest, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo). The two share a warm embrace and a friendly kiss on the cheek before Emily’s best friend, Mindy Chen (Ashley Park), joins them and greets Gabriel as well.
According to the show’s storyline, Gabriel’s lingering presence in Emily’s life takes a Mediterranean turn when he sends her an invitation on a postcard, prompting her spontaneous trip to the famous “Island of the Winds.”
Strict security on Mykonos for Emily in Paris production
With Emily in Paris being one of Netflix’s massive global flagships, local authorities have put incredibly tight security measures in place. Major filming locations across Mykonos have been completely cordoned off to keep paparazzi at bay and protect plot secrets. The production crew is operating with clockwork precision, ensuring minimal disruption to the island while once again placing Mykonos under the international entertainment spotlight.
The Greek adventure doesn’t stop here. After wrapping up with Mykonos, the production is scheduled to move to the dramatic cliffs of Santorini before heading to the luxury docks of Monaco.
Season 6 of Emily in Paris is tentatively expected to premiere on Netflix in late 2026 or early 2027.
