OTE reported a 3.1% increase in third-quarter adjusted core earnings Friday as Greece’s largest telecommunications operator added fiber customers and maintained its full-year outlook.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization after leases reached €371.4 million, while revenue rose 1% to €882.7 million, according to the company’s October 30 results. The corresponding earnings margin increased to 42.1% from 41.2%.

Fiber growth supports OTE earnings in Greece

OTE ended September with 739,081 fiber-to-the-home subscribers, up 45.2% from a year earlier. It added 52,250 during the quarter.

That follows the fiber expansion in the summer, when OTE’s subscriber base stood at 686,831 at the end of June. The two quarterly totals show continued customer growth, although September’s net additions were below the roughly 62,000 added in the preceding quarter.

Mobile-service revenue rose 2% to €296 million. Wholesale revenue fell 24.1% to €106.6 million as OTE continued withdrawing from zero-margin international transit business. The company said revenue growth would have been 5% without that planned reduction.

OTE retained its 2026 guidance, including approximately 3% adjusted earnings growth and €600 million in investment. It cautioned that fourth-quarter comparisons would be more demanding because of the prior year’s performance.

The results come during the transition toward Deutsche Telekom’s brand in Greece.

OTE is majority-owned by Germany’s Deutsche Telekom, which holds around 55% of its shares. Over the past five years, the group has increasingly focused on Greece, investing in fiber-optic and 5G networks while selling its Romanian fixed-line business in 2021 and mobile operations in 2025.

Its services span fixed and mobile telephony, broadband, pay television and digital solutions for businesses. In September 2026, OTE adopted Telekom as its commercial brand, replacing Cosmote Telekom and aligning its Greek operations more closely with its German parent’s international identity.
