The award-winning documentary “The Kindness Within” by Greek-American Leon Logothetis premiers on Amazon Prime on Friday, February 21, across the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
“The Kindness Within: A Journey to Freedom” is a soul-stirring documentary that explores the universal quest for meaning, healing and connection. Affectionately known as the “kindness Guy”, Leon Logothetis inspires transformation through the simple, yet extraordinary power of kindness.
The film has garnered top honors at the esteemed Beverly Hills Film Festival (BHFF) Awards Night Gala in May 2024. It has also received numerous awards, including the Golden Palm Award and was recognized as the Best Documentary at The Hollywood Roosevelt last year.
After receiving one of his awards, Logothetis said that it was his hope that the film can offer hope and a counterbalance to the negativity we see in the world today.

Logothetis a keynote speaker, acclaimed author, and TV host is a Greek-American born in the UK. He previously created the acclaimed documentary television series The Kindness Diaries, on Netflix and Discovery+. The series debuted in 2017 and portrayed Logothetis, a well-to-do man, who decides to leave his life behind to live on the kindness of strangers around the world.

A former stock broker, Leon Logothetis began his own personal journey after finding the courage to put down a suicide note and begin a quest for the meaning of life.
The first step on that journey was to pick up a book by a mystical yogi and then begin traveling the world in search of answers. The film features some of the world’s top spiritual leaders including Sadhguru, Neale Donald Walsh, Mike Dooley, and Yasmin Mogahed.
Audiences are transported alongside Logothetis as he immerses himself in diverse practices and philosophies to overcome deep-rooted personal crises and find fulfillment while he engages viewers with a tapestry of cultures and ideas as steps to mental freedom.
In this powerful documentary, Leon walks on the sands of the Ganges, speaks hushed Sufi prayers under the stars, meditates with Buddhist monks in the Himalayas and works side-by-side with what he calls “living saints” who selflessly serve food to hundreds of thousands of people in need in the smoke-filled halls of “God’s Kitchen.”
