The Hellenic Initiative (THI) announced the launch of ITHAKA: The Journey of Great Hellenes, a new monthly podcast and speaker series. It will feature prominent Hellenes and Philhellenes from around the world whose journey, achievements, and values continue to shape industries, societies, and communities worldwide.
Through in-depth conversations, the series explores not only professional success, but also the personal paths, defining moments, and Hellenic ideals that guide impactful leadership.
Inspired by the timeless symbolism of Ithaka — the journey that shapes who we become — the series highlights the shared heritage, vision, and responsibility that connect Hellenes across borders and generations.
“This new series supplements THI’s mission to unite Greeks around the globe to preserve Hellenism and give back to Greece,” said George P. Stamas, Co-Founder and President of The Hellenic Initiative. “Each conversation reflects the values that unite us — resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to giving back — while inspiring the next generation of leaders and changemakers.”
Inaugural episode: A global leader’s perspective on the Olympic Games
As the 2026 Milan Olympic Games come to an end, the President of the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games, THI’s own Andrew N. Liveris, gives a rare behind-the-scenes perspective on hosting the world’s most complex and celebrated global sporting event, while reflecting on his Ithaka. THI Co-Founder and President George P. Stamas interviews Liveris, THI’s Co-Founder and Chairman.
This opening conversation sets the tone for a series that will continue to spotlight influential voices whose journey embody excellence, purpose, and connection to the global Greek community.
