Greece is advancing its commitment to more inclusive and supportive education with the launch of the program, ConnectEdParents+, a national initiative created by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports.
Backed by a €3.5 million ($ 4.06 million) investment under the country’s Sectoral Development Program, the project aims to equip parents with modern tools, expert guidance, and continuous support so they can play a stronger, more confident role in their children’s learning and emotional development. The effort aligns with broader European objectives that promote social cohesion and equal opportunities for all students.
Greece’s new education program forms a stronger partnership between home and school
ConnectEdParents+ is an education program that places parents at the center of student support.
The program addresses issues that significantly influence everyday school life, including bullying, harmful behaviors, learning disruption, and online risks.
Through structured guidance and practical strategies, the initiative helps parents respond proactively and maintain a stable, encouraging home environment.
The program’s focus is organized around four thematic pillars:
- Strategies for preventing and addressing bullying
- Support and guidance for avoiding addictions and harmful behaviors
- Responses to school disengagement and declining academic performance
- Awareness and management of digital-age risks
The overarching goal is to give parents reliable information, hands-on tools, and continuous assistance so they can identify difficulties early and strengthen children’s resilience.
