NBA’s Giannis Antetokounmpo has announced the production of his first scripted feature movie on Mykonos in Greece under his Improbable Media production company.
The Bucks star posted on social media about the new film called Mykonos: “Guys you know how much I love Mykonos,” the Greek Freak wrote.
“I am very excited to officially announce my production company @improbablemedia has partnered with @studiogalazio to produce my first feature film as a producer. MYKONOS, the movie, written and directed by Christopher Andre Marks, is coming soon…,” the Greek Freak announced.
Hollywood Reporter says that the film, led by Klelia Andriolatou and Andrew Georgiades, is about a rag-tag band of noble thieves who steal from the tourists that destroy their home each summer.
Greek actress Klelia Andriolatou’s performance in the Greek hit TV series Maestro in Blue, streaming on Netflix, has catapulted her into the international film industry. Young, beautiful, and talented, she is set to be Greece’s newest shining star in the acting realm.
Riccardo Scamarcio (Modi, John Wick 2), Julia Fox (Uncut Gems) and Vito Schnabel (The Trainer) also star in the movie.
Galazio CEO Christopher Andre Marks (King Otto) makes his feature directorial debut based on his original screenplay. The writer and director said: “It is a privilege to collaborate with such a talented international cast and crew on this film, especially as we embark on our first major project in Greece.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mykonos
Almost every summer, Giannis Antetokounmpo spends time on the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos. Last summer, he and Mariah Riddlesprigger chose a humble Greek taverna οn Mykonos for a romantic dinner after their lavish three-day wedding party.
In 2022, he was spotted with his family over the weekend relaxing at a beach club οn Mykonos.
He was seen enjoying the sun and Greek food at Psarou Beach, known to attract local and international celebrities (and their huge yachts). It is one of Mykonos’ trendiest and most famous and is always packed in the summer.
Recently, Antetokounmpo delved into the dilemma many visitors to Greece have when he compared two of the most glamorous Aegean islands, Mykonos and Santorini.
“Mykonos is one of the best islands in Greece…it’s a party island. You cannot go there with your significant other, you got to be by yourself. It’s got to be a boys’ trip. Obviously, we have Santorini. Santorini’s really romantic. It has the best sunset and sunrise in the world. You can take your significant other there,” Antetokounmpo said.
