Cyprus confirms limited damage after drone strike as EU expresses support
Cypriot government spokesperson Constantinos Letymbiotis confirmed that the drone caused minor material damage at the Akrotiri base.
Authorities activated security protocols immediately after the strike and coordinated closely with the British government and the administration of the UK Sovereign Base Areas. Letymbiotis added that the government continues to evaluate the situation at multiple levels and will provide further updates as assessments progress.
