The 24-time Grand Slam champion was seen singing alongside Red Star fans, leading to a viral moment that blended Serbian and Greek sports culture. The Olympiacos chant reflected the long-standing friendship between Red Star and Olympiacos fanbases, known as “brother clubs.” Videos from the stands showed Djokovic clapping, smiling, and shouting the chant in rhythm with thousands of fans, who were singing to honor that cross-border fan bond, showcasing his trademark energy and connection with the crowd.

Red Star and Olympiacos: A brotherhood beyond borders

Djokovic’s participation wasn’t random. It reflected the long-standing friendship between Red Star Belgrade and Olympiacos Piraeus fans.

Known as “brother clubs,” their supporters share chants, colors, and loyalty that cross national lines. Djokovic’s gesture symbolized that shared spirit, further strengthening the bond between Serbian and Greek fanbases.
