“Greek-Americans for Trump” hosted recently a sold-out leadership reception at the historic Union League of Philadelphia, aiming to engage the Greek-American community in the lead-up to the November elections.

The event was co-chaired by Representatives Gus Bilirakis and Nicole Malliotakis, along with Christos Marafatsos. Headlined by Ambassador Richard Grenell, Donald Trump’s top foreign policy advisor, the reception drew influential Greek-American leaders, entrepreneurs, and staunch supporters of the former president.

Ambassador Grenell’s remarks highlighted President Trump’s unwavering commitment to the Greek-American community and emphasized the importance of strengthening the long-standing relationship between the United States and Greece.

Trump “committed” to the key issues facing the Greek-American community

During a two-hour dialogue, Grenell covered key issues that resonate deeply with attendees, including:

– Strengthening U.S.-Greece Relations: Exploring opportunities for even deeper ties between the two nations.
– Eastern Mediterranean Peace and Stability: Stressing the critical need for security in this vital region.
– Religious Freedom: Advocating for the protection of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Orthodox Christianity in the U.S. and abroad.
– Economic Policy: Focusing on tax reductions, inflation control, and the creation of economic opportunities for Greek-Americans.
– Family Values and Unity: Preserving the American Dream and core values cherished by the Greek-American community.

Ambassador Grenell reaffirmed that President Trump is the only candidate genuinely committed to addressing the key issues facing the Greek-American community. He pledged that a second Trump administration would further strengthen U.S.-Greece relations and uphold the values most cherished by Greek Americans.

“The relationship between the U.S. and Greece is stronger than ever, but we still have many opportunities to deepen that bond. President Trump is fully committed to this,” Grenell stated during his speech.

In addition to foreign policy discussions, Grenell addressed domestic issues pertinent to the Greek-American community, particularly economic policies that affect families and small businesses.

He assured attendees, “We are fighting inflation, lowering taxes, and creating an economic environment that allows Greek-American families to flourish. President Trump has always supported your community, and in his second term, he will continue to prioritize the economic interests of Greek Americans.”

Pivotal role of Greek-Americans in the election

Christos Marafatsos emphasized the pivotal role of Greek Americans in the upcoming elections, stating, “This is a critical moment for our country, and Greek Americans have an essential role to play in the re-election of President Trump.” He noted that the former president’s leadership has consistently delivered results for the community, reinforcing the call for mobilization ahead of the elections.

Greek Americans for Trump has been dedicated to empowering the Greek-American community in support of President Trump since 2016, ensuring that their voices are represented in national discussions on U.S.-Greece relations, religious freedom, and the preservation of cultural values.

As the November elections approach, this event served as a reminder of the importance of active participation within the Greek-American community, showcasing their influence and commitment to shaping policies that resonate with their values and interests.
