Kate Hudson is back in Greece for the second time this summer. She revealed on Instagram that she spent time in Athens surrounded by her family, including her musician husband Danny Fujikawa.
The American actress and her equally renowned mother, Goldie Hawn, frequently visit Greece nearly every summer. They have made numerous appearances on the island of Skiathos, which has seemingly become one of their favorite summer destinations.
She showed off her stunning bikini-clad body in a sizzling new Instagram album from her “dreamy” trip to Athens.
The 45-year-old actress enjoyed an excursion to the Greek capital and in her caption, she spilled a few of the details of her trip and paid a special tribute to her hotel, One And Only Aesthesis in the seaside suburb Glyfada.
Her latest Instagram album from Athens included a picture of a large dinner that Kate enjoyed surrounded by family and friends by the beach at sunset.
“Absolutely dreamy! For those who follow me you know by now how much I love Greece! I have never stayed in Athens for more than one night and @ooaesthesis new hotel is insane and the private residences were so spectacular,” she wrote.
In one heartwarming snap, Kate could be seen pulling a goofy monster pose while she and Danny splashed about in a swimming pool together.
She was also accompanied by her children – her daughter Rani, five, with Danny, and her sons Ryder, 20, and Bingham,13, from previous relationships.
Kate Hudson’s love affair with Greece
In late June, Hudson was spotted dining with her husband at a taverna on the island of Spetses.
The actress has been to Spetses many times, both for her professional duties and for holidays. She starred in the movie Knives Out 2 which was partly filmed on the island.
Hudson’s favorite Greek island however is Skiathos, further north in the Aegean, where she has been seen many times on her vacations.
Goldie Hawn, Hudson’s very famous mother, and the former’s partner Kurt Russell, own a vacation home on the island. The entire family often visits and stays in the house, making their love of Greece a “family affair”.
Throughout the 2000s, Hudson starred in a succession of romantic comedies, most notably in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), You, Me and Dupree (2006), Fool’s Gold (2008), and Bride Wars (2009).
On television, she had a recurring role in the musical series Glee (2012–2013) and a starring role in the second season of Truth Be Told (2022). Her other film credits include The Skeleton Key (2005), Nine (2009), Rock the Kasbah (2015), Deepwater Horizon (2016), Mother’s Day (2016), Music (2021), and Glass Onion (2022).
Hudson is a co-founder of the fitness brand and membership program Fabletics, operated by TechStyle Fashion Group.
She is also the author of the non-fiction books Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body (2016) and Pretty Fun: Creating and Celebrating a Lifetime of Tradition (2017). Hudson released her debut studio album, Glorious in 2024.
