Greek Premier Kyriakos Mitsotakis met on Saturday afternoon with the great composer and lyricist Mikis Theodorakis in the latter’s house in Athens.

The two men have a long-lasting relation since Theodorakis was friends with the Prime Minister’s father, Konstantinos Mitsotakis.

Theodorakis told the PM that it was exactly 50 years ago when he first met him in Paris, at a time when the Premier was just 2 years old.

Mitsotakis and Theodorakis talked about a wide spectrum of issues, from music to Greece’s national interests and the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.

It is noted that Theodorakis, who is 94 years old, was released from the hospital in March 2019, after sixteen days of treatment for a heart condition.
